Bandit is an 11 year old Shih-Tzu. He was surrendered to a shelter in a surrounding city with his brother. Bandit is super-loving and wants to be by you all the time. He could sit on your lap all day. He is going to sleep right up in bed with you, no questions asked. He also likes to go for short walks and enjoys being outside. He is a pretty low-energy, mild-mannered dog. As a Shih-Tzu, he does not shed and will require periodic grooming. Bandit is a little larger as a Shih-Tzu, weighing in at 16 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, and UTD on shots.

Bandit has some ailments that are common with older dogs. He doesn't hear much at all. He does have a grade 4 heart murmur, but does not require heart medication at this point. He is working hard on his housebreaking. He will go outside when you take him and will use a potty-pad. He may need a belly band for a short time if he is transitioning to a home with another male dog, to prevent marking. A little patience and consistency goes a long way with Bandit.

Bandit is a little picky about the dogs in his foster home, so meeting any other dogs in his forever home is necessary. He is not going to be a playmate, but he can peacefully co-exist. He could give two hoots about cats. That would require more effort than he is going to expend! If you are in the market for a low-maintenance, happy dog, Bandit fits the bill.

Bandit is neutered, current on his vaccinations and micro chipped. His adoption fee is $135. If you would like to apply to adopt Bandit or any of his rescue friends, please visit our website to complete and adoption application by clicking on the link below:
