Volunteer Opportunities
Noah's Hope Animal Rescue is looking for volunteers to help save Sioux City's homeless dogs. Listed below are several volunteer opportunities. If you are interested in volunteering for a certain position, or even multiples, please contact us for more information.
Transporting
This opportunity is simple but extremely important. Whether a dog needs to go across town to the vet or across the country to a rescue, transporting dogs is the life line of our rescue.
Foster Parenting
This opportunity is very rewarding if you are able to provide temporary housing for a dog waiting for a transport or adoption. These dogs have been vaccinated and we require your pets to be current on their vaccinations as well. Normal length of stay in a foster home is 1-3 weeks.
Fundraising
This is an opportunity to raise funds for vet care, food, gas and vaccinations. Noah's Hope is a 501c3 non-profit organization that welcomes all fundraising ideas (including possible grants we may apply for) as well as opportunities for public appearances.
Adoptions
Volunteers are needed to be present at outreach events (including PetSmart) for assistance with on-site adoptions. Help is also needed for post-adoption follow up including phone calls and home visits.
Intake Assistance
Every dog that enters into our rescue must be photographed and vaccinated. The dog's approximate weight and age also must be documented. When possible we like to do a temperament test with other dogs and cats so we can have the best overall assessment of the dog.
